Ghost is a skin-soft silicone toy with a trick up its sleeve - flip it inside out to reveal a second pleasure-textured surface.

Arcwave is a newer brand that has been making waves by bringing the “Pleasure Air” technology from the popular clitoral sucking toys to the male market. But they also make several cheaper manual toys that I haven’t seen anything like before. So when I saw the Ghost come up on a Black Friday sale, I bought it on a whim. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from a $20 toy from a brand I wasn’t familiar with.

Boy was I surprised. Read on to find out just why I will be keeping a very close on on Arcwave from now on!

TL;DR

4.5/5

First Impressions

Yeah that's really all the package is

Upon first glance, the Arcwave Ghost’s diminutive size is striking. The Ghost is encased in a 4-inch cylindrical shell, shrink-wrapped for shipping. I assumed that the stroker must have been simply stuffed into this tube but I was wrong. As you unscrew it, it reveals the fascinating textured stroker tucked neatly inside. At this point I realized that the shipping package doubles as a handy travel case. What made it even more thoughtful was the plastic insert, ingeniously designed to prevent the toy from collapsing and aid in drying with the help of the ventilation slots at each end of the case.

The Ghost is constructed of Arcwave’s proprietary “CleanTech Silicone,” offering a smooth exterior with subtle grippiness. CleanTech silicone for its superior durability, resistance to UV light, and effortless cleaning. The silicon feels very high quality, with only a whisper of molding marks evident on the surface.

The texture, although seemingly understated, offers a captivating tactile experience. On one side, spiraling grooves wind around the product, while the other side hosts dual-sized studs. For such a compact toy, its elasticity is impressive, accommodating men of varied dimensions with seamless ease.

Hands On

First things first, with the Ghost, you need to choose your texture up front. Some double ended toys make switching between different textures in the middle of the game easy but with the Ghost you need to turn it inside out. That means the previously (hopefully) well lubricated interior surface is now what you are trying to hold on to, good luck. If you decide you want to switch anyway, if you used a water based lube it just requires a quick rinse or just wipe it off with some lint free cloth.

Once you’re all set, squeeze in some water based lube and give the Ghost a good swirl or roll it between your hands to spread it out well. In my experience with the Ghost, it takes a bit of finesse to get inside it. If you’re not careful you end up with an air bubble at the tip which really reduces the sensations (did you know the tip of your tool is where most of your pleasure receptors are?). You can try putting it on kind of like a condom or just make sure to give it a good squeeze to get all the air out.

Arcwave Ghost on a dildo
Just slide it on kinda like a condom

It is immediately obvious how high quality the Ghost’s silicone is. You can immediately feel the textures of the stroker and your hand can even feel all the bumps and ridges of your dick. On a lot of toys, the claims of multiple textures are mostly just a marketing gimmick. But here I can distinctly feel a difference between the spirals and the knobs. I personally prefer the knobby texture, it stimulates the sensitive frenulum much more than the spiral does but the spiral does feel a bit more realistic if you know what I mean.

Arcwave Ghost stretched over a dildo
Easily stretching to provide a nice tight fit

And it should be flexible enough to handle anyone, you can see how it fits here on my stand in dick. It’s a decently endowed dildo about 7 inches long and 5 inches in girth. You can even see the texturing of the dildo through the Ghost, that’s how snug it fits. Because it fits so snug it feels like it’s not even there. Like a ghost. Get it? So don’t worry about having to mess around finding out what feels good. Just do what you always do and its going to feel much better than you’re used to.

The Ghost really holds on tight, assuming you got the air out, and manages to stimulate all over your dick. Some toys that are more rigid don’t manage to rub over the very tip but this one does. One of my favorite things was going deep so it stretches tight around the tip and slowly spinning the Ghost. That sent me over the edge nearly every time.

Closing Thoughts

When you’ve had your fun, the Ghost neatly contains the mess. Because it has a closed end you can treat it like a condom instead of an open ended toy where you’re trying to neatly balance your load inside it on the way to the sink. Post nut clarity or not, I’m going to fail that challenge. Once you’re at the sink, dump it out and give it a rinse under running water or use your favorite toy cleaner.

The included case has a plastic insert that helps keep the toy open during storage. That means that you don’t have to worry about the silicone deciding to stick to itself and that it helps to wick the moisture out of the inside. Since the case is vented at both ends, you don’t have to worry about drying the Ghost off before closing it up. Just a couple shakes get most of the water off and then you are good to go. And as a bonus, I haven’t had to worry about any dog hair. That stuff gets everywhere…

Worth It?

It’s been a while since I have been this impressed by a toy. I honestly only bought it because I was already ordering a much more expensive toy from Arcwave (look for that review soon) and the Ghost was only $20. When I saw the size of the package I thought it was a joke. But the first time I tried using it I was actually embarrassed by how quickly it did the job.

If you’re looking for a budget toy I can say that you shouldn’t be disappointed with the Ghost. And if you’re looking for something a little more expensive, maybe pick up the Ghost anyway. Variety is the spice of life after all. I usually reach for one of my interactive toys when I’m looking for some fun, but sometimes there is something to be said for simplicity. Plus the small size and well designed travel case mean that it will likely make it into my bag every time I pack. It never hurts to be prepared right?
