TL;DR

4/5

Cake Stroker
Not much to look at but gets the job done

If you’re on a budget and looking for something more than just your hand, this stroker from Cake is a great choice.

Pros

  • Different sensations in each end
  • Low cost but high durability
  • Exceptionally easy to clean

Cons

  • Not very appealing to look at
  • Looks like a dog toy

First Impressions

Unboxing this stroker left me with mixed feelings initially. As always, Cake didn’t disappoint with their excellent packaging. However, the images on Cake’s website had raised my expectations, painting a picture like one of those indestructible dog toys.

The reality was a bit different from what I’d imagined. The product, as you can see from the pictures, isn’t visually appealing, even coming off as rather bland. Visible manufacturing marks and a smaller size of only 5 inches long and 2.75 inches in diameter - approximately the size of an average soda can - had me second-guessing my purchase.

Yeah, I'd say you should fit no problem

Despite these initial impressions, the product did have an impressive weight to it. Furthermore, the skin-safe TPE material - although not as premium as some of Cake’s other offerings - felt pleasant against my skin, even without any lube.

Deciding to give it a chance was a choice well-made. The stroker’s impressive stretchiness was a standout feature, easily accommodating my entire hand. As I toyed with it, the material warmed to my body temperature, adding a pleasant, somewhat lifelike sensation. Many toys can feel lifeless and synthetic, but after a few minutes in my hands, this was nowhere near the case with Cake’s offering.

Action

Having fun is as easy as finding a comfortable spot, some lube, and the stroker itself. Cake recommends their So-Low lotion, even offering it as a package deal with the stroker. Although I’m generally a fan of the So-Low lotion, in this case, it provided too much friction for my liking. Instead, I’d suggest Cake’s water-based Toy Wonder lube for a slicker experience.

The robust nature of the stroker stands out — you can simply apply some lube to its insides and slide right in, avoiding any lube-induced messiness. Many strokers bend and flex too easily, often leading to awkward fumbling and additional lubrication before getting inside. Sounds familiar, right?

The double sided stroker offers unique textures at each end – the larger end features circular ridges, while the smaller end is lined with massaging beads.

I recommend starting with the ridged end solely because it’s easier to grip. Contrary to my initial thoughts, the smaller size of the stroker proved advantageous compared to larger ones. The entirety of the stroker nearly fits your hand, allowing regulated pressure based on your squeeze intensity. For an added twist, try blocking the top end of the stroker, creating light suction, mimicking oral pleasure.

As far as satisfaction goes, this stroker hit all the right spots. The ability to control pressure, switch between different textures, and experiment resulted in tons of fun. The versatility of this stroker lends itself well to self-indulgent role-play. You can start with light pressure and gentle suction before ramping up the intensity and trying out different sensations. It was such a fun, easy-to-use addition that I found myself casually going for it whenever it caught my eye, mixed into the everyday items on my desk. A delightful choice for spontaneous moments of fun!

Cleanup

After the moment of ecstasy subsides, you’ll be relieved to find that cleaning the So-Low Stroker is a breeze. The product’s size is capable of containing your load within its pleasurable insides, assuming a bit of caution is exercised. Capitalizing on its double-ended design, a quick run-through of water suffices to clean it out. For a thorough cleaning and protection of the material, I suggest employing a specialized toy cleaner.

While the stroker is waterproof, it isn’t designed for use under conditions of continuous heated water such as a bath or a shower. Exposure to such conditions can cause the rubber material to deform, jeopardizing future usage. Cake consequently recommends storing the stroker in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to ensure an extended lifespan of your toy.

Worth It?

With an MSRP of only $24 it’s hard to say no, and you can usually find it on sale somewhere. But honestly I’d even give it an emphatic yes. It’s just so easy that I can only imagine it will have a place in my toy chest for a long time to come.
